Which Strains Are Included? - Ultra Probioplex IB contains a non-dairy live bacteria formula featuring enhanced potency and highly viable, pure strains of Lactobacillus acidophilus (NCFM strain) and Bifidobacterium lactis (Bi-07) to support lower bowel health.
Number of Bacteria at Date of Consumption? – Ultra Probioplex IB provides a guaranteed potency of 60 billion live organisms per serving, all the way through until the expiry date. To assure maximum survival and potency, it’s produced in a freeze-dried form and then refrigerated throughout storage and shipping, and should also be refrigerated at home.
Can the Bacteria Survive Stomach Acidity? - The 50:50 ratio of L. acidophilus and B. lactis have been chosen specifically as they are two extremely well-researched bacteria strains that are known for their ability to survive the acidic stomach environment and their ability to adhere to the intestinal wall. Adherence to the intestinal wall is essential in order for a live bacteria supplement to be effective.
